Bayern Munich and Arsenal played to an entertaining 2-2 draw in their UEFA Champions League match at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. Declan Rice rescued a late point for the Premier League side in the 82nd minute, denying the hosts a crucial victory in the league phase.

The match began with early drama when Arsenal suffered a significant blow as Bukayo Saka was forced off due to an apparent muscular injury after just 10 minutes. Eberechi Eze replaced him and quickly made an impact, opening the scoring in the 25th minute. Following a long pass from Martin Odegaard, Eze raced into the penalty area and calmly beat goalkeeper Manuel Neuer with a left-footed finish.

Bayern Munich responded in the 35th minute when Harry Kane dropped deep and delivered a precise, defense-splitting pass from near the halfway line. Alphonso Davies tracked the ball behind the defense and guided a composed right-footed shot past David Raya into the bottom corner to equalize for the hosts.

The second half continued at a frantic pace with both goalkeepers making key saves. Bayern eventually claimed the lead in the 61st minute after a VAR review confirmed a penalty for handball against Jurrien Timber. Kane stepped up and fired high into the left side of the net, sending Raya the wrong way. The goal extended Kane's scoring record against his former north London rivals and made him only the second player, after Cristiano Ronaldo, to score in 10 consecutive Champions League appearances.

Just as Bayern looked to close out the victory, Arsenal equalized in the 82nd minute. Substitute Viktor Gyokeres held up the ball before threading a precise pass into the path of Rice, who drove a right-footed shot into the bottom corner past Neuer for his first Champions League goal away from home.

Both teams pushed for a late winner during stoppage time, with Neuer making a sharp save to tip Timber's effort over the crossbar. The final whistle confirmed a shared point, leaving Arsenal with seven points from three matches in seventh place, while Bayern sit 14th in the league phase standings with five points.
