Atalanta suffered a 3-0 defeat against Parma in Serie A action at the New Balance Arena in Bergamo. The home side struggled throughout the match, extending a winless home run and sinking deeper into a difficult stretch of the season under manager Maurizio Sarri.

Parma broke the deadlock in the 41st minute when Giovanni Fabbian capitalized on a corner kick from the left by Vincent Sierro, heading the ball past the defense to give the visitors a 1-0 lead. Despite controlling large spells of possession and creating early chances through Charles De Ketelaere and Nicola Zalewski, Atalanta failed to convert their opportunities before halftime.

The visitors extended their advantage shortly after the interval. Just two minutes into the second half, El Bilal Touré drove down the right flank and crossed into the penalty area, where Davide Zappacosta inadvertently deflected the ball into his own net to make it 2-0.

Parma sealed the victory in the 58th minute through 18-year-old Simone Lontani. After receiving a pass from Fabbian at the edge of the area, Lontani maneuvered past Mario Pašalić with a clever move before curling a right-footed shot past goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi to bring the score to 3-0.

Atalanta faced an uphill battle amid an extensive injury crisis that left Sarri with limited options on the bench, forcing the inclusion of several reserve players. Despite efforts from Zalewski, Krstović, and a late header from Pašalić that struck the crossbar, the home side was unable to break through Parma's defensive block.

With this result, Parma earned their first away win and their first points on the road this campaign under manager Alberto Gilardino, moving away from the bottom of the standings. Meanwhile, Atalanta remains stuck on 11 points after ten matches, increasing pressure on Sarri and his squad as they navigate mounting injuries and poor form.
