Chanel Pysnik, one of the earliest hires at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Archewell Productions, is stepping down from her position as Head of Nonfiction, Film and TV after more than five years with the company. Pysnik played a pivotal role in shaping the strategic framework for the organization's unscripted content following its establishment alongside a partnership with Netflix in 2020.

During her tenure, Pysnik helped produce several high-profile projects, including the 2022 documentary series Harry and Meghan, which became Netflix's most-viewed documentary premiere. Her production credits also include Heart of Invictus, Polo, Live to Lead, the lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, and the feature documentary Cookie Queens, which premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. No immediate replacement has been announced by the company.

In a joint statement, Prince Harry, 42, and Meghan, 45, praised Pysnik's contributions. "Chanel was one of our very first hires at Archewell Productions and spearheaded the strategic framework for our unscripted endeavors," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stated. "She brought not only her expertise into the process but also led with her heart in telling beautiful stories. Many successful productions later, her impact and legacy at Archewell is to be celebrated."

Pysnik also reflected on her time with the organization, expressing gratitude for the opportunity. "It has been an honor to build Archewell Productions alongside Harry and Meghan for nearly six years," she said. "Together, we have produced work that has broken records, earned awards and screened at prestigious film festivals, while reaching audiences around the world and contributing to important cultural conversations."

Pysnik's departure follows structural changes within the couple's organizations, including staff reductions late last year at Archewell Philanthropies due to a shift toward a fiscal sponsor operating model. Meanwhile, the broader professional landscape for the Duke and Duchess has evolved, highlighted by the transition of their Netflix agreement into a first-look deal following the conclusion of their initial multi-year contract.

In separate developments concerning the couple, royal commentators and insiders have recently discussed ongoing dynamics involving the royal family. Reports highlighted remarks from royal expert Duncan Larcombe regarding the couple's financial ventures, while separate insights detailed historical perspectives on the Duke and Duchess's marriage and their recent return to the United Kingdom after living in the United States.
