AEW Star Komander Sidelined With Injury Amid Recent Absence
The high-flying luchador has been out of action since September due to an undisclosed injury, with company officials hoping for a swift return.
All Elite Wrestling star Komander has been absent from television programming since early September, with industry reports indicating that the high-flying performer is currently sidelined due to an injury. The exact nature and severity of the medical issue have not been publicly disclosed, though within the organization there remains optimism that he will make his return to the ring soon.
Komander's last documented appearances took place in September across both AEW and Mexico's Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. His most recent match for AEW aired on an episode of Collision, where he suffered a defeat against Nick Wayne. Prior to that bout, he competed at the major All In event in London, participating in the Casino Gauntlet match that was ultimately won by Andrade El Idolo.
In addition to his commitments with Tony Khan's promotion, the luchador also wrestled for CMLL during his active stretch in September. On September 18, he challenged Titán for the CMLL World Welterweight Championship, falling short of capturing the title. Just days later, on September 20, he teamed up with ROH World Champion Bandido in a tag team loss against Máscara Dorada and Soberano Jr.
Before signing an official contract with AEW in April 2023, Komander made his debut for the company without a prior agreement during the Face of the Revolution ladder match in March of that year. His signing followed his release from Kaoz Lucha Libre, and reports at the time indicated that WWE had also shown interest in acquiring the talented competitor.
Meanwhile, AEW President Tony Khan recently addressed fans and media regarding the upcoming Blood & Guts event scheduled for November 4, 2026, at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Speaking during a local television appearance on First Coast News, Khan highlighted the promotion's pricing strategy as a key asset for supporters.
Khan stated that AEW offers some of the most affordable tickets in televised professional wrestling, ensuring that families and enthusiasts do not have to spend a fortune to attend live events. He also praised the city of Jacksonville for its deep historical ties to the company, recalling how the promotion first announced its foundational plans in the area back in January 2019 near the location of his recent interview.
As the roster prepares for the upcoming television special in Jacksonville, featuring the signature double-ring steel cage match structure, the focus remains on the health and recovery of sidelined performers like Komander. Wrestling analysts continue to monitor updates regarding his rehabilitation and potential timeline for reentering active competition.
