Savannah Chrisley Announces Engagement and Pregnancy With Businessman Jason Galanis
The reality television star addressed her 27-year age gap with the former financier whose federal sentence was commuted last year.
Reality television personality Savannah Chrisley announced on October 27, 2026, that she is pregnant with her first child and engaged to businessman Jason Galanis. The announcement confirmed the identity of her partner, whom the 29-year-old "Chrisley Knows Best" star had previously identified only as "J" or "Jason" across social media and on her podcast.
The revelation has drawn significant public attention due to the couple's 27-year age gap, with Galanis currently 56 years old. Sources indicate that Galanis first reached out to Chrisley in June 2025, and the two began dating exclusively the following month. The couple kept their romance largely private before Galanis proposed five months later during a trip to the Cayman Islands in December 2025.
Chrisley addressed public commentary about their age difference directly during an episode of her podcast, "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley." Dismissing critics, she stated that Galanis "does not look his age, or does he act his age," praising both his physical fitness and mental sharpness. She added, "I have always said I would rather 20 phenomenal years with someone than 50 'meh' years with someone," calling their bond a dream relationship.
Family dynamics also played a role in the background of their relationship. While Chrisley noted that her father, Todd Chrisley, gave his approval of Galanis, reporting indicates he initially had reservations concerning the substantial difference in their ages. Chrisley explained that meeting Galanis helped her recover from past heartbreaks, describing him in an emotional social media message as her protector and safe place.
The pair first crossed paths through political circles while Chrisley was actively campaigning for executive clemency for her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, who were convicted of bank fraud and tax evasion. Her parents were subsequently pardoned by President Donald Trump. Notably, both Todd Chrisley and Galanis previously served sentences at the Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida.
Galanis carries a high-profile legal past of his own. In September 2020, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York sentenced him to 189 months in federal prison for orchestrating multiple securities fraud schemes. Federal prosecutors detailed that one of the schemes involved defrauding a Native American tribal entity and investors out of more than $60 million.
In March 2025, President Trump commuted Galanis's prison sentence, cutting short his nearly 16-year term. Prior to his clemency, Galanis had also surfaced in national political headlines when he provided written testimony from prison in March 2024 to a Republican-led congressional impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden. In his statement to the U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, Galanis described his former business partnerships with Hunter Biden and Devon Archer.
Chrisley celebrated the joint announcement with a video showing ultrasound images and Galanis cradling her baby bump. As the reality star prepares to enter motherhood and plan a wedding, the development marks an eventful new chapter following years of public attention centered on her family's legal struggles.
