The New Orleans Saints defeated the Cleveland Browns 23-22 in a dramatic overtime thriller at Caesars Superdome on Sunday. The game came down to the very final play when the Browns attempted a two-point conversion to win, but quarterback Shedeur Sanders' pass intended for Denzel Boston near the pylon fell incomplete.

Playing without regular starting quarterback Deshaun Watson due to a concussion, Sanders stepped into the lineup for Cleveland. The contest was a low-scoring defensive struggle for the majority of regulation before exploding into a flurry of offense in the final six minutes. Both teams traded touchdowns in the extra period, but the failed two-point conversion sealed the victory for the Saints.

The game featured a milestone moment for rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion, who caught the first touchdown of his career. Following a 48-yard field goal by Charlie Smyth that gave New Orleans a 9-6 lead late in the contest, Sanders connected with Concepcion on the very first play of the ensuing drive for a 64-yard touchdown pass, briefly putting Cleveland ahead 13-9.

The Saints responded when running back Audric Estime, who was claimed off waivers earlier in the week from Cleveland, plunged into the end zone from two yards out to give New Orleans a 16-13 advantage against his former team. Left with just 53 seconds and two timeouts, Sanders orchestrated a clutch drive that included a 30-yard completion to Jerry Jeudy, setting up an Andre Szmyt 51-yard field goal with eight seconds remaining to force overtime.

In the extra period, New Orleans received the opening kickoff and marched 74 yards in 11 plays, capped by a 15-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Tyler Shough to tight end Juwan Johnson. Cleveland answered when tight end Harold Fannin Jr. caught a pass in the flat and broke multiple tackles for a 39-yard touchdown, setting up the decisive two-point try.

Defensively, both teams put up strong performances despite the late scoring. Linebacker Carson Schwesinger led the Browns with 14 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Meanwhile, Chase Young and Carl Granderson spearheaded the Saints' pass rush, recording multiple sacks to pressure Sanders throughout the afternoon.

The victory marks the first home win of the season for New Orleans, lifting their record to 3-5, while the Cleveland Browns drop to 5-4 following the hard-fought road loss.
