Real Madrid secured its sixth straight victory across all competitions on November 1 by defeating Racing de Santander at El Sardinero. Under the direction of manager José Mourinho, the visiting side put together a stellar first-half performance, establishing a commanding three-goal advantage before the break that proved insurmountable for the hosts.

The match got off to a fast-paced start as Real Madrid immediately imposed its tempo. Arda Güler came close to opening the scoring early on with a precise shot that grazed the goalpost. Shortly after, goalkeeper Agirrezabala managed to deny Jude Bellingham on a point-blank header.

The deadlock was broken in the 11th minute under controversial circumstances when Kylian Mbappé went down inside the penalty area following contact with Prati. The referee pointed to the penalty spot, and although local supporters heavily protested the decision, the VAR upheld the call, allowing Mbappé to convert and put his side ahead.

Real Madrid doubled its advantage in the 21st minute through Bellingham. Following a clean buildup from the back, Güler delivered a defense-splitting pass to the English midfielder, who skillfully rounded the goalkeeper and slotted the ball into the empty net. The visitors maintained intense pressure, culminating in a brilliant right-footed volley from Yan Diomande in the 36th minute that flew straight into the top corner, making it 3-0.

Racing de Santander attempted a spirited comeback in the second half, increasing their attacking presence and pressing higher up the pitch. Mourinho expressed visible frustration on the touchline regarding a drop in intensity from his players, prompting the visiting team to regain control of possession and slow down the pace of the match.

During the second period, Mbappé came close to extending the lead further when his curling shot struck the goalpost, and Bellingham later had a goal ruled out for offside in stoppage time. Racing also saw a penalty appeal reviewed and overturned by the VAR after it was determined that Aurélien Tchouaméni handled the ball unintentionally.

With this victory, Real Madrid continues its strong momentum in the domestic league standings. The team now turns its immediate attention toward its upcoming international fixtures as preparations begin for the next stop of the campaign in Athens.
