Private Jet Crashes in Florida, Killing All Nine People On Board

A private business jet crashed on Sunday in Palm Beach County, Florida, resulting in the deaths of all nine passengers on board. The Learjet 60 was traveling from Texas to the Bahamas when the tragedy occurred at approximately 12:50 p.m. local time.

United States Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy confirmed the fatalities in an official statement on social media, describing the event as a "terrible tragedy." Federal authorities and emergency responders quickly mobilized to the site of the disaster.

Flight tracking data from ADS-B Exchange and Flightradar24 indicated that the aircraft experienced an extreme and rapid loss of altitude in its final moments. According to the data, the plane dropped roughly 27,000 feet within a single minute before vanishing from radar screens.

Eyewitness footage circulating on social media captured the aircraft nose-diving steeply toward the ground before erupting into a massive fireball upon impact. The violent crash completely disintegrated the plane and created a giant crater in the roadway near Military Trail and a mobile home park, narrowly missing nearby residential structures and passing vehicles.

The crash site is located approximately ten miles as the crow flies from Mar-a-Lago, the residence of Donald Trump. The local sheriff's office reported that Trump had departed the property late Sunday morning and was traveling to Iowa and Kansas at the time of the accident.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have launched a joint investigation to determine the cause of the disaster.
