New England Patriots running back TreVeyon Henderson is set to participate in Thursday night's game against the Chicago Bears. The team removed the second-year player from their final injury report on Wednesday, signaling his availability following a period of recovery from an ankle issue.

Henderson originally sustained a high ankle sprain during the Patriots' Week 5 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. While initial reports suggested the injury could sideline him for several weeks, he managed to return to the field for the team's Week 6 game against the New York Jets. In that appearance, he recorded seven carries for 31 yards and one reception for nine yards.

The Patriots' backfield has relied on a rotation featuring Henderson and Rhamondre Stevenson. However, the emergence of Corey Kiner as a third option has introduced new variables for the coaching staff. Kiner saw significant action last week, leading the team with 11 carries for 57 yards, which has prompted questions regarding how snaps will be distributed among the three running backs moving forward.

From a fantasy football perspective, analysts are monitoring Henderson's workload closely. While he is healthy enough to play, his usage remains a point of contention. Some experts suggest that Henderson's limited role in the passing game and his inconsistent snap counts make him a risky start for managers this week. Stevenson continues to lead the backfield in total touches, averaging 14.3 per game compared to Henderson's 10.4.

Concerns regarding Henderson's pass protection and overall trust from the coaching staff have further complicated his outlook. Last week, he saw a 23.5% snap share and a 19.4% rushing share. Given these metrics, some fantasy analysts recommend keeping him on the bench unless he secures a larger portion of the workload or finds the end zone.

As the Patriots prepare for the Bears, the division of labor between Stevenson, Henderson, and Kiner will be a key storyline. With the team playing on a short week, the coaching staff's management of Henderson's health and the effectiveness of the rotation will likely determine the success of the ground game in Chicago.
