Orlando Magic guard Jalen Suggs exited Sunday night's game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden with an apparent right knee injury. The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter when Suggs drove to the basket for a fast-break layup, during which his knee buckled.

Suggs remained on the floor beneath the basket in visible pain before being helped up. He was unable to put weight on his leg and required assistance to limp off the court and back to the locker room. Prior to his departure, he finished the contest with four points, six rebounds, six assists, and three steals in 34 minutes of play.

Despite losing their starting guard, the Magic secured a 111-102 victory to claim their first win of the season and drop the Knicks to an 0-3 record. Magic head coach Sean Sweeney stated after the game that he spoke briefly with Suggs and that the player was in good spirits, though an official medical evaluation is scheduled for Monday.

The potential absence of Suggs poses a significant challenge for Orlando, which is already managing a major roster setback. Star forward Paolo Banchero is currently sidelined with an ankle injury sustained on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves, an issue that could keep him out for up to six weeks.

Suggs has previously missed time due to knee issues over the past two seasons, limiting him to a combined 92 games during that span. Last year, he appeared in 57 contests, averaging 13.8 points and 5.5 assists per game while serving as a defensive anchor for the Magic backcourt.

If Suggs is forced to miss an extended period, Anthony Black is expected to step into the starting lineup. Other bench players such as Jase Richardson, Jevon Carter, and Alex Morales could also see increased playing time to help fill the void.

The Orlando Magic are scheduled to continue their season on Wednesday with a matchup against the Toronto Raptors.
