Oppo has officially confirmed that its highly anticipated Reno17 series will launch in China next month. While the company has not yet announced an exact release date, consumers can already visit Oppo's online store to place blind pre-reservations for the upcoming smartphones.

The upcoming lineup is expected to consist of two primary models: the standard Reno17 and the Reno17 Pro. Industry leaks suggest that the base model will feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, whereas the Pro variant is rumored to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8550 system-on-chip.

Additional rumors surrounding the high-end Reno17 Pro indicate it may feature a 6.32-inch OLED display, a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, and a robust 7,000mAh battery. Both devices in the new series are anticipated to operate on ColorOS 17, which is built upon the Android 17 operating system.

Alongside the smartphones, Oppo plans to expand its hardware ecosystem by introducing the new Watch 5 smartwatch and the Pad Air 6 tablet. Both companion devices are also currently available for pre-reservation across the company's online retail channels in China.

Meanwhile, the broader mobile landscape is already preparing for the Android 17 software generation. Samsung has begun rolling out its One UI 9.0 update, built on Android 17, to the mid-range Galaxy M54. This release marks an important step for Samsung as it accelerates software support for devices outside its flagship S and A series.

The One UI 9.0 update aims to bring enhanced battery management, optimized performance, and improved customization options to the Galaxy M54. Furthermore, the software introduces advanced security features and refined permission controls, extending the longevity and everyday usability of the mid-range device.

As major manufacturers push forward with Android 17 software and new hardware releases, consumers are gaining access to more advanced features and extended device lifecycles across different price tiers.
