Punctual with the end of daylight saving time, Nuremberg Airport is preparing to launch its winter flight schedule on October 25, 2026. The new schedule for the colder months will remain in effect through March 28, 2027, offering passengers a total of 43 direct destinations.

Among the primary additions to the winter program is the arrival of easyJet at the Nuremberg facility. The British airline is introducing new connections to London-Gatwick, London-Luton, Manchester, and Milan, with the Milan service scheduled to begin on November 27.

Additional carriers are also expanding their networks from the airport. Ryanair is adding new routes to Agadir and Rabat in Morocco, as well as Porto in Portugal, while also bringing back service to Seville. Furthermore, Wizz Air is incorporating Târgu Mureș in Romania into the seasonal lineup.

Travelers seeking warmer weather during the winter months will still be able to access established vacation spots such as Mallorca, Málaga, Valencia, and Antalya. Flights to Egyptian destinations like Hurghada and Marsa Alam, alongside various Canary Islands routes, also remain available.

Despite the expansion, the winter schedule has elicited divided responses from the public. Social media reactions following the mid-September announcement showed some travelers expressing disappointment over the absence of specific European destinations.

Certain users on platforms like Facebook criticized the lineup for lacking direct flights to cities such as Stockholm, Bergen, Oslo, Helsinki, Dublin, and Reykjavik. Conversely, other travelers defended the airport's offerings, arguing that it is impossible to satisfy every individual preference.

The transition to the winter timetable follows a robust summer season for Nuremberg Airport. During the six-week Bavarian summer break, the airport recorded approximately 806,000 passengers, marking its highest volume for that timeframe and exceeding the previous year's figures by roughly 20,000 travelers, with Antalya and Mallorca ranking among the most popular choices.
