The 2026-27 NBA season has officially tipped off, bringing fresh storylines, high-stakes matchups, and new viewing options for basketball enthusiasts across the United States. As teams begin their campaigns, platforms and streaming services are rolling out various ways for audiences to follow the action live and on demand.

For fans looking to stream out-of-market regular-season matchups, NBA League Pass remains a primary destination. The service offers several pricing tiers, including a base plan of $109.99 for the full season or $16.99 per month, which includes commercials and allows streaming on a single device. Alternatively, viewers can purchase NBA League Pass Premium for $159.99 annually or $24.99 monthly, removing commercials and permitting simultaneous streaming on up to three devices.

Subscribers who prefer following a single franchise can opt for a Team Pass priced at $13.99 per month. In addition, eligible students can receive a 40 percent discount on monthly packages, while members of the U.S. military community, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders, medical professionals, government employees, and educators qualify for a 30 percent discount over 12 months.

Regarding platform availability, NBA League Pass is accessible through Amazon Prime Video, where users can also take advantage of a seven-day free trial. However, the streaming service is no longer available on YouTube TV. Local blackout restrictions apply to live broadcasts, and nationally televised games are typically unavailable for live viewing, though they become accessible at 6:00 a.m. Eastern Time the following day.

In conjunction with the start of the season, sports betting operator DraftKings has introduced a promotional offer for new customers. Users who sign up and place an initial wager of at least $5 can receive a promotional code for a complimentary three-month subscription to NBA League Pass. Participants also receive $200 in bonus bets distributed incrementally over a 21-day period.

The ongoing season opened with prominent matchups, including the New York Knicks beginning their title defense against a remodeled Philadelphia 76ers squad, and a Western Conference rematch between the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder. These opening contests highlight an action-packed schedule that features multiple games daily across the league.

As the season progresses, viewers utilizing NBA League Pass can access specialized features such as multi-view options, statistical overlays, and customizable broadcasts to track their favorite players, fantasy rosters, and game outcomes throughout the year.
