Model Lena Gercke shares health update and new business venture

Model and entrepreneur Lena Gercke has shared a health update with her followers, revealing that she is currently undergoing treatments to support her immune system. In a social media post, she showed herself wearing a breathing mask and receiving an intravenous infusion, explaining that she has been dealing with recurring health issues for approximately a year and a half.

Gercke stated that she undergoes bi-weekly infusions and altitude training as part of an immune-building therapy. According to her, the symptoms return every four to six weeks, although she has not specified the exact nature of the ailments. Previously, in March 2025, she reported suffering from a severe respiratory syncytial virus infection that affected her airways and her heart, though she has not confirmed whether her current symptoms are related to that past illness.

Alongside her health update, Gercke continues to make waves in the business world. She has recently partnered with the startup Joy_ as the face of a nationwide television campaign for their product called the Zugutschein, or train voucher. The product emerged from the founders' appearance on the television show "Die Höhle der Löwen," where they secured an investment of 350,000 euros for a 15 percent stake from investor Janna Ensthaler.

Reflecting on the collaboration, founder Titus Hüsken noted that Gercke brings a fresh and youthful energy to the brand that is not typically associated with traditional vouchers. The product allows recipients to spend the balance freely and personalize it with photos and videos via a QR code. Since its television debut, the startup has expanded its reach into major retail chains, including MediaMarkt, Saturn, Müller, Thalia, Edeka, and the German Post, with over 70,000 vouchers sold so far.

In addition to her commercial partnerships, Gercke remains a prominent figure in fashion and entertainment. She recently captured attention on social media with a bold fashion statement combining an oversized black blazer with a heart-shaped corset top, drawing high praise from her online community. Her distinct sense of style and grounded personality continue to cement her status as a leading fashion icon in Germany.

Gercke's career trajectory has also placed her on recent lists celebrating prominent German women in fashion and entertainment for 2026, highlighting her ongoing influence across multiple industries. Furthermore, television viewers can expect to see her on screen as she joins host Kai Pflaume alongside other notable personalities for the 15th-anniversary special of the show "Klein gegen Groß - Das unglaubliche Duell" on ZDF.
