The celebrity dance pair earned a total score of 68 out of 80 during the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars season 35.
Maura Higgins and her professional dance partner Mark Ballas secured a total score of 68 points during the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars season 35. The competition reached a critical stage as the remaining celebrities performed iconic Broadway hits from Disney films during a special themed episode.
During the evening, Higgins and Ballas performed a lively jive that earned them 32 points for their individual routine. Their performance contributed to their cumulative standing on the leaderboard as the competition narrows down to the final seven couples.
In addition to individual routines, the episode featured team dances that significantly impacted the overall scores. Higgins participated in Team Slaytopia, captained by Tatyana Ali, which earned a team score of 36 points. The combined individual and team scores placed Higgins and Ballas with 68 total points for the week, landing them in the lower half of the evening's leaderboard.
The night brought intense competition and a special twist regarding immunity. While initial reports and leaderboards created some confusion over tie-breakers, the highest honors of the night ultimately went to Harry Shum Jr. alongside Jenna Johnson, and Jenna Dewan alongside Val Chmerkovskiy, who both secured top leaderboard positions. Shum and Johnson were awarded immunity from the upcoming week's dance-off based on cumulative season scores.
Meanwhile, the evening ended in an elimination for actress Julia Stiles and her professional partner Ezra Sosa, who departed the competition after finishing the night tied for the sixth spot on the leaderboard alongside Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik.
Dancing with the Stars will return to its regular broadcasting schedule next week for Grammy Night. Fans can tune in to watch the remaining couples compete on Tuesday, November 10, streaming on Disney+ and broadcasting on ABC.
