Lawrence Robb Eliminated From Strictly Come Dancing After Historic Dance-Off

Lawrence Robb and his professional dance partner Jowita Przystał became the fifth couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing following the television program's first-ever three-couple dance-off. The Emmerdale star exited the competition during Sunday night's results show after facing off against actress Jaime Winstone alongside Carlos Gu, and House of the Dragon star Bethany Antonia alongside Nancy Xu.

During Saturday's Halloween special, Robb and Przystał performed a tango to the Ghostbusters theme song by Ray Parker Jr., earning a score of 26 from the judges. The performance left them near the bottom of the leaderboard alongside Tabby Stoecker and Mark Karmalita, and Graeme Hall and Lauren Oakley, who both scored 25. Following the combined results of the public vote and judges' scores, Robb, Winstone, and Antonia found themselves in the historic bottom three.

Unlike traditional episodes where the judges choose their favorite couple to save from a pair of dancers, Sunday's twist required the panel to vote on whom to eliminate. Head judge Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, and Craig Revel Horwood all unanimously voted to eliminate Robb and Przystał. Motsi Mabuse, who held the deciding vote for the evening, noted that she would have also chosen to send the soap actor home.

The decision sparked immediate reaction online, with many viewers criticizing the introduction of the triple dance-off. Fans expressed frustration on social media, arguing that the twist unfairly targeted Robb, who had been improving each week and had never previously landed in the bottom two. Commentators noted that under standard rules, the outcome might have differed.

Despite his exit, Robb reflected positively on his time on the program, calling it an intense, incredible, loving, and wonderful experience. Przystał praised her celebrity partner, describing him as a kind soul with a golden heart. The remaining ten couples will return to the ballroom next Saturday at 6:30 p.m. as the competition reaches its halfway point.
