The Golden State Warriors will host the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, but they will take the court without two of their marquee players. Superstar Steph Curry and forward Draymond Green have both been ruled out for the matchup, as the team has opted to rest the veteran duo on the opening night of a back-to-back series.

Golden State enters the contest looking to keep a three-game winning streak alive. After opening the regular season with three consecutive losses, the Warriors bounced back recently, culminating in a 112-95 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.

During Friday's game against the Lakers, the Warriors faced an early 23-point deficit after the first quarter. A remarkable comeback spearheaded by Curry shifted the momentum completely, allowing Golden State to outscore Los Angeles 97-57 over the final three quarters. Curry led all scorers with 31 points and provided multiple highlights, including an impressive play against Lakers guard Luka Dončić.

With Curry and Green unavailable for Sunday's game against the Clippers, the coaching staff will look to other members of the roster to step up. Rookie Yaxel Lendeborg is expected to have an opportunity to bounce back after struggling to find his offensive rhythm against the Lakers, where he finished with a season-low six points.

Lendeborg acknowledged his disappointing performance following Friday's win and noted that he needed to perform better. The upcoming matchup gives the young forward a chance to showcase his versatility and offensive potential in an expanded role while the team's veteran leaders rest.

The projected starting lineup for the Warriors on Sunday features De'Anthony Melton, Brandin Podziemski, Yaxel Lendeborg, Gui Santos, and Graham Ike. Meanwhile, the visiting Clippers are expected to start Darius Garland, Kris Dunn, Rui Hachimura, Derrick Jones Jr., and Isaiah Jackson.

Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 PM PT in San Francisco, with regional television and streaming coverage provided by NBC Sports Bay Area.
