Born in Pescara in 1977, Pompilio built a diverse professional profile throughout his life, working extensively across theater, television, and cinema. Beyond his acting pursuits, he also held a strong passion for trekking, having successfully completed the historic Camino de Santiago, and spent four years working as a professional chef in the kitchens of Gambero Rosso.
Pompilio achieved broader public prominence in 2018 when he portrayed the character Francesco Pavolini during the third season of the popular television series Il Paradiso delle Signore. His television credits subsequently expanded to include appearances in the first two seasons of Prisma, the series Ripley, and Un’estate fa.
In addition to television, his cinematic work featured roles in Saverio Costanzo's 2023 film Finalmente l'alba, a brief appearance in the series Qui non è Hollywood, and his recent casting in the 2025 comedy Buen Camino alongside Checco Zalone, where he played Gianni, a pilgrim encountered by the protagonists on the Santiago trail.
His agency paid tribute to his dedication, stating in a public message that acting was never a mere occupation for him, but rather a vocation approached with rigor, passion, and immense respect for his audience and peers.
