An 85-year-old former Supreme Court judge in Argentina crashed his vehicle directly into the storefront of a beauty salon in City Bell, narrowly avoiding a major tragedy. The incident took place at Estética Fefi, located between streets 467, 135, and 136, when the driver lost control of his Volkswagen Taos while attempting to exit a parking area.

Security camera footage captured the vehicle plowing through the front facade and coming to a stop deep inside the establishment, passing just inches away from employees and clients. At the time of the crash, several workers and patrons were inside the salon receiving treatments or handling daily tasks. According to local reports, five women and the driver sustained minor bumps and bruises, but no severe injuries were reported.

The impact caused substantial material destruction, shattering the glass entrance and demolishing furniture, including armchairs, tables, and workstations. Property owners estimated that the repair costs for the damaged business could exceed 15 million pesos. Local police responded to the scene, requesting formal forensic investigations and video surveillance analysis to clarify the exact sequence of events.

The judicial investigation regarding the property damage was assigned to the prosecution unit UFI No. 15 in La Plata. Initial assessments from witnesses suggest that the driver may have accidentally stepped on the accelerator of his automatic vehicle, preventing him from stopping before hitting the building.

Francisco Roncoroni served a distinguished career in the Argentine judiciary before retiring. He was appointed as a minister to the Supreme Court of Justice of the Buenos Aires province in 2002, holding the position until his retirement in 2007. Prior to that assignment, he worked as a judge in civil and commercial appellate and trial courts across the La Plata and San Martin judicial departments.

The unexpected accident left local residents and business owners startled by the vulnerability of roadside commercial properties, while investigators continue to review all gathered evidence to officially determine the cause of the crash.
