Al-Nassr continued its impressive climb toward the top of the Saudi Pro League standings on Friday, securing a 3-1 victory over Al-Faisaly during the eleventh round of the competition. The win brings Al-Nassr's total to 25 points, putting them level with leaders Al-Qadisiyah at the summit of the table.

Manager Ange Postecoglou opted to start Abdullah Al-Hamdan instead of Brazilian forward Angelo Gabriel, a tactical decision that paid off almost immediately. Al-Hamdan found the back of the net in the fourth minute, capitalizing on an early opportunity to give his side the lead. The assist for the opening goal came from Senegalese forward Sadio Mané, who quickly made his presence felt in the match.

Al-Nassr maintained their dominance heading into the second half. Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo doubled his team's advantage in the 49th minute with a precise header, solidifying a comfortable cushion for the visitors. The goal added another milestone to Ronaldo's extensive career tally as Al-Nassr pressed forward.

Despite trailing, Al-Faisaly fought back in the middle of the second period. Theo Bongonda reduced the deficit for the hosts in the 66th minute, sparking renewed energy and injecting suspense into the remainder of the fixture as Al-Faisaly sought an equalizer.

However, substitute Angelo Gabriel extinguished any hopes of a comeback for the home side. Coming off the bench after starting the game among the substitutes, Gabriel scored Al-Nassr's third goal in the 79th minute with a strike from inside the penalty area, validating Postecoglou's offensive substitutions.

With this result, Al-Nassr secured their third consecutive victory across all recent competitions, following previous wins over Al-Diriyah and Neom. The latest performance strengthens the team's confidence as they maintain a fierce battle for the top spot in the Roshn Saudi League.

Meanwhile, Al-Faisaly remains in a difficult position in the league standings as they struggle to find consistency. The defeat highlights ongoing defensive challenges for the home team, which will need to make significant adjustments as the season progresses.
