Al Nassr is set to face Al Faisaly in an upcoming Saudi Pro League encounter as the team looks to maintain its strong position in the league standings. Manager Ange Postecoglou has indicated he will stick with the core starting lineup that labored to a narrow 1-0 victory against Neom at Al-Awwal Park.

Entering the fixture, Al Nassr sits in third place in the Saudi League table with 22 points collected from nine matches. The club trails league leaders Al Qadsiah by three points, though Al Nassr holds a game in hand, and is two points behind second-placed Al Hilal.

Postecoglou's decision to maintain his tactical arrangement comes as the squad continues to manage ongoing injuries to French defenders Mohamed Simakan and winger Kingsley Coman. Despite these absences, the team's lineup features high-profile names, including veteran Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, who recently faced a temporary suspension from the Portuguese Football Association and missed a penalty in the match against Neom, has been named in the starting XI alongside fellow Portugal international Joao Felix. Ronaldo currently has four goals in eight league appearances this season as he approaches a career milestone.

On the opposing side, Al Faisaly enters the matchup positioned 15th in the league table with seven points total. The team's recent form across competitions includes draws against Al Shabab, Al Ettifaq, and Al Hazem, alongside a victory over Al Kholood and a defeat to Al Ittihad.

Historical head-to-head records show competitive previous encounters between the two clubs. In their past league meetings during the 2021-22 season, Al Nassr secured a 4-0 victory in January 2022, while Al Faisaly claimed a 2-1 win in August 2021, followed by a close 4-3 victory for Al Nassr in May 2021.

Match officials appointed for the fixture include referee Abdullah Fahad Al Owaydan, alongside assistant referees Hamad Harkan and Abdullah bin Nasser bin Mohammed Al Ojaym. Mohammed Sami Taher Al Ismail will serve as the Video Assistant Referee, supported by assistant VAR official Ahmed Ali Al-Ateeq and fourth official Ibrahim Ahmed Al Jurays.
