The Philadelphia Eagles visit the Washington Commanders for an NFC East matchup on Sunday Night Football at Northwest Stadium. This game marks the 187th meeting between the division rivals, with Washington holding a narrow 91-89-6 advantage in the historical series. Both squads enter the contest dealing with significant roster injuries, but key playmakers such as Jayden Daniels, Saquon Barkley, Stefon Diggs, and Dallas Goedert are expected to take the field.

Washington enters the game as a 6-point favorite with the over/under total set at 40.5 points. The Commanders are coming off their bye week and hold the home-field advantage as quarterback Jayden Daniels seeks his first win since October 2025. Meanwhile, the Eagles limp into Landover on a five-game losing streak, carrying a 2-5 record and trying to overcome major personnel losses.

Philadelphia's offense faces an uphill battle with starting quarterback Jalen Hurts expected to miss the remainder of the season due to blood clots. Tanner McKee will make his third career start under center for the Eagles. The offensive line has struggled to protect the quarterback, allowing pressure on 43 percent of dropbacks, while the unit ranks 30th in both expected points added per play and overall success rate.

Despite their offensive limitations, the Eagles hope to lean on running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley returned from a hamstring injury last week, recording 71 scrimmage yards on limited touches, and is expected to take on a larger workload against a Washington defense that ranks 25th in total yards allowed and 31st in success rate allowed.

On the other side, the Commanders are adjusting to life without wide receiver Terry McLaurin, who is sidelined for the season with a torn patellar tendon. With McLaurin out, wide receiver Stefon Diggs is expected to command extra defensive attention from the Philadelphia secondary. Diggs has caught four of Washington's 14 touchdowns this season, including a score against the Eagles in their Week 1 meeting.

Washington also received a boost with wide receiver Treylon Burks listed as active for Sunday's game after dealing with foot and shoulder issues throughout the week. Alongside Diggs, players like Antonio Williams, Dyami Brown, Luke McCaffrey, and tight end Chig Okonkwo will be tasked with providing targets for Daniels as the Commanders aim to bounce back and secure a crucial divisional victory.
