The Washington Huskies are looking to maintain momentum following their bye week and a previous victory against the Purdue Boilermakers. In Week 9 of the college football season, the team travels to take on the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who boast one of the top defenses in the Big Ten.

Washington head coach Fisch enters the matchup facing a decision regarding the starting quarterback position. The team has utilized starter Demond Williams Jr., who returned from a rib injury sustained against the Iowa Hawkeyes, alongside Stanford transfer Elijah Brown, who delivered strong offensive performances during recent quarters.

Regarding his approach to the lineup, Fisch explained on Monday that the final decision depends on multiple factors. "It goes into who gives up the best opportunity this week to win this football game," the head coach stated.

Fisch added that the evaluation process considers player health, specific athletic traits that provide tactical advantages, and overall efficiency in moving the football and scoring points. The starting quarterback choice is not expected to be publicly announced until game time in Lincoln.

The matchup is scheduled for Saturday, October 31, with a start time of 5:00 p.m. PT at Memorial Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on the Big Ten Network, with commentary from Wayne Randazzo and Rhett Lewis, alongside sideline reporting from Caroline Hendershot.

Streaming options for viewers include platforms such as YouTube TV, Sling, and Fubo, which offers free trials for new subscribers. Betting markets courtesy of BETMGM list Nebraska as a 7.5-point favorite, with an over/under set at 49.5 points and Washington listed at +250 on the money line.
