Weather forecasting models indicate that snow could fall across parts of England, Scotland, and Wales next week, with potential flurries reaching southern regions of the United Kingdom. The Met Office reported that temperatures are expected to drop toward the end of the week, paving the way for colder conditions.

According to GFS weather modelling data, snow could begin in northern parts of Scotland on the afternoon of November 10 before tracking southward. By the early hours of November 11, data shows intense flurries hitting North Wales and northwest England at a rate of roughly 4 millimeters per hour, later moving southeastward across England.

By the morning, weather maps suggest the heaviest snowfall will hit eastern parts of England, with some flurries potentially reaching areas near the south coast. Swathes of southeastern, central, and northern England could see snow settle on the ground, though accumulations are generally not expected to exceed 1 centimeter outside of Scottish hills.

In total, the GFS model maps indicate that approximately 50 counties across England, Wales, and Scotland could experience snowfall. The affected areas in England include Northumberland, Durham, Cumbria, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Sussex, and Herefordshire.

Scottish counties facing potential snow include Sutherland, Ross-shire and Cromartyshire, Inverness-shire, Nairnshire, Banffshire, Morayshire, Aberdeenshire, Kincardineshire, Angus, Perthshire, Argyllshire, Stirlingshire, Dunbarton, Lanarkshire, Peeblesshire, Midlothian, East Lothian, Dumfriesshire, Selkirkshire, Berwickshire, and Roxburghshire. In Wales, the forecast covers Denbighshire, Merioneth, Montgomeryshire, Radnorshire, Brecknockshire, Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, Carmarthenshire, Cardiganshire, and Caernarfonshire.

Meanwhile, official forecasts from the Met Office and the BBC report variable cloud cover and scattered light showers leading up to the weekend. High pressure is expected to keep conditions largely dry for many areas, though northern regions will experience cold starts with morning mist and fog as temperatures turn lower by Friday.
