Tottenham Hotspur secured a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace on October 31 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, extending their winning streak to three matches in the English Premier League. The win lifted Roberto De Zerbi's side into the upper half of the league table.

The match shifted decisively in the 13th minute when Crystal Palace forward Jean-Philippe Mateta was shown a straight red card. Referee Michael Oliver initially issued a yellow card for a heavy challenge on Micky van de Ven but upgraded it to a dismissal following a video assistant referee review.

Playing with a numerical advantage, the hosts capitalized on their dominance in the 25th minute. Archie Gray opened the scoring by heading home from a corner kick following lax marking by the visiting defense.

Crystal Palace attempted to stay competitive despite the deficit and showed determination through the second half. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson made several key saves to keep his team within reach as the visitors fought to overcome the disadvantage.

Tottenham sealed the result in the 73rd minute when Jan Paul van Hecke scored the team's second goal. After Henderson deflected an initial attempt onto the crossbar, the defender reacted quickly while positioned on the ground to head the rebound into the net.

Darío Osorio entered the match for Crystal Palace in the 77th minute as a substitute for Dwight McNeil, but had limited impact with the score already settled. Late in the contest, Luka Williams-Barnett set up Mohammed Kudus, though the opportunity went unconverted from close range.

The defeat leaves Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage under mounting pressure with his team mired in the bottom three of the standings. Having secured only two league victories in nine matches under his leadership, the club faces crucial upcoming fixtures amidst growing questions regarding the coaching staff's future.
