Manuel Otto, the creator of the popular video game Stick Run, has died at the age of 30 following an incident during a livestream on Twitch. Representatives for the game confirmed the tragedy in a statement posted to social media on Tuesday.

The official statement from Stick Run noted that the team was aware of a broadcast involving its owner and creator in which he appeared to have taken his own life. The game's administrators stated that Twitch has since removed both the livestream and the associated video recordings.

Screenshots of the incident circulated widely online prior to the removal of the content. Project representatives requested that the privacy of everyone involved be respected during this difficult period and urged internet users to refrain from spreading unverified rumors.

German regional newspaper PNP reported that authorities responded to a fatal fire in an attic room in Breitbrunn am Chiemsee, a town located in the southern state of Bavaria, on Tuesday evening. Although authorities have not publicly identified the individual who died in that incident, older biographical records place Otto's origins in nearby Staudach-Egerndach.

Reflecting on his early success, Otto originally created Stick Run when he was only 14 years old, building a massive following over the years as an influencer and game developer. Following the news of his passing, numerous fans took to online platforms to express their condolences and mourn the loss of the young developer.

The game's team has encouraged anyone with relevant information that could help clarify the circumstances surrounding the event to reach out directly to Stick Run representatives or local law enforcement agencies.
