Simone Biles Sells Her First Houston Home After Six Years of Ownership

Olympic gymnastics legend Simone Biles recently experienced a wave of emotion while selling her longtime home in the Houston, Texas, area. In a widely shared TikTok video posted on October 21, the 29-year-old athlete broke down in tears as she walked through the empty rooms of the property she first purchased in 2020.

Biles explained to her followers that the four-bedroom residence in Spring, Texas, held immense personal significance because it marked the first home she bought entirely on her own. She noted that the property witnessed both positive and challenging moments that ultimately helped her transition into adulthood during her six years of residency.

Purchased when she and her now-husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, were dating, the 3,998-square-foot contemporary house became a backdrop for their relationship before and after their April 2023 wedding. Built in 2019, the property features high ceilings, quartz countertops, a custom wine wall, a media room, a private study, and a spacious backyard with a pool.

Despite the deep sentimental attachment, the real estate transaction moved remarkably fast. According to the Houston Business Journal, the house went under contract just five days after its September 26 listing, officially closing on October 15. Real estate records from the Houston Association of Realtors indicate the final sale price landed between $1.08 million and $1.24 million.

Biles expressed hope that the new owners would find as much happiness in the dwelling as she did. In her post's caption, she humorously noted that the rapid sale caught her off guard while she was preparing air fresheners for prospective buyers, leaving her crying instead of finalizing the presentation.

The sale of the Spring residence does not signal a permanent departure from the Lone State State for the decorated gymnast. Biles and Owens completed construction on a sprawling, custom-built lakefront mansion in Texas in November 2025, a project that involved years of collaborative design work and planning alongside homeownership association approvals.

Even with their primary Texas base secure, the couple's lifestyle is expanding to accommodate Owens' professional football career. Biles has shared that she plans to spend significant time in Indiana during the NFL season to support her husband, fully embracing her new experiences in Indianapolis while maintaining her deep roots in Texas.
