Real Madrid extended their winning streak across all competitions to seven games on Wednesday night after securing a dramatic 3-2 victory against AEK Athens in the UEFA Champions League. Playing away at the OPAP Arena in Athens, manager José Mourinho's squad twice came from behind before captain Federico Valverde unleashed a stunning stoppage-time strike into the top corner to seal the win.

The hosts came out energized and troubled Real Madrid's defense early on. After missing a couple of initial opportunities, Aboubakary Koïta broke the deadlock in the 12th minute by beating defender Marc Cucurella and firing a near-post shot past goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. Despite surviving an intense early onslaught, Real Madrid gradually worked their way back into the contest.

Jude Bellingham equalized just past the 30-minute mark with a skilled backheel finish following a disallowed goal for a marginal offside. The tight affair continued into the second half until AEK Athens reclaimed the lead in the 75th minute. Koïta turned playmaker, sliding a low cross across the box for Stavros Pilios to finish past the visitors' backline.

The home side's advantage lasted only three minutes. A precise pass from Bellingham allowed Denzel Dumfries to square the ball to Kylian Mbappé, who netted an essential equalizer to bring the score back to 2-2. As the match neared its conclusion, Real Madrid intensified their pressure in search of a winner.

Valverde delivered the decisive blow with seconds remaining, launching a trademark long-distance missile that found the back of the net to complete the comeback. The victory keeps Real Madrid's European campaign flawless with four consecutive wins in the league phase, maintaining their position near the top of the standings.

Following the match, Mourinho praised the depth of his squad, specifically highlighting the contributions of substitutes Brahim Díaz and Álvaro Carreras. Real Madrid will look to carry their momentum forward as they return to domestic and continental action.
