French Olympic swimming champion Laure Manaudou celebrated her 40th birthday, marking the occasion with her eldest daughter, Manon, who shared a sunset photo on Instagram showing the mother and daughter posing by the sea.

Now settled near Gujan-Mestras in the Arcachon Bay, Manaudou has embraced a quieter lifestyle focused on nature and family. In past interviews, the former athlete explained her deliberate move to the region to find a sense of peace, greenery, and tranquility for her three children after years spent living in major cities.

Manaudou is the mother of three children from two relationships. Her eldest, 16-year-old Manon, was born from her previous relationship with fellow French swimmer Frédérick Bousquet. She also shares two sons, Lou and Sacha, with singer Jérémy Frérot, whom she separated from in 2024.

Beyond her family life, Manaudou has developed a strong passion for running following her retirement from competitive swimming. Eight years after her previous appearance, she is slated to return to the 47th edition of the Marseille-Cassis race, tackling the challenging 20-kilometer course alongside other French sports icons such as Alain Bernard, Camille Lacourt, and Dimitri Payet.

Her transition from the Olympic pool to endurance events has been swift. Earlier, she completed her first marathon in Paris, cementing her dedication to long-distance running. Whether cycling through the pine forests of southwestern France or preparing for upcoming athletic races, Manaudou continues to maintain a highly active lifestyle.

In addition to her athletic pursuits, Manaudou occasionally steps back into the spotlight for high-profile cultural events. She recently attended a concert by Celine Dion in Paris alongside her brother, fellow Olympic swimmer Florent Manaudou, and several other public figures, sharing lighthearted moments from the evening on social media.

As she enters her forties, Laure Manaudou remains a beloved figure in French sports, successfully balancing her history as an iconic gold medalist with a grounded, family-oriented life along the coast.
