Norman Powell scored 25 points to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 132-125 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday evening in Milwaukee. The matchup was rescheduled to tip off four hours earlier than originally planned because the Milwaukee Brewers hosted Game 1 of the World Series on Friday night.

Powell shot 7-of-20 from the field and went a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line, adding four rebounds, one assist, and two three-pointers. This performance followed his role as the team's leading scorer in a previous game against the Bucks on Wednesday, though his long-range shooting was uncharacteristically quiet as he went 2-of-12 from behind the arc.

The Bulls bounced back from a tough season-opening 135-92 loss to the Toronto Raptors earlier in the week. Alongside Powell, rookie Caleb Wilson provided a major spark by scoring 21 points, securing six rebounds, and making crucial plays down the stretch to help secure the win.

Leonard Miller contributed 19 points for Chicago, while Jalen Smith recorded a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Buddy Hield also chipped in with 13 points as the Bulls managed to hold off the Bucks in a game where both teams traded leads throughout regulation.

The Milwaukee Bucks played their second game of the young season following an opening loss in Washington. Tyler Herro, a Milwaukee-area native acquired in a blockbuster offseason trade that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat, led all scorers with 34 points.

Other former Heat players also contributed significantly for Milwaukee, with Jaime Jaquez Jr. scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, Kyle Kuzma adding 14 points, and Myles Turner contributing 12 points.

Before the game commenced, a moment of silence was held, followed by a halftime video tribute honoring Don Nelson, the winningest coach in Milwaukee Bucks history, who passed away on August 9 at the age of 86.

Following Friday's contest, the Chicago Bulls prepare to return home to host Washington on Saturday night, while the Milwaukee Bucks hit the road to play Philadelphia on Saturday night.
