Nebraska Volleyball Faces Michigan in Friday Night Matchup
The undefeated Huskers travel to Ann Arbor to extend their historic 21-0 start to the season against the Wolverines.
The top-ranked Nebraska volleyball team hits the road for a Friday night showdown against the Michigan Wolverines at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The match is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. CT and will be streamed exclusively on B1G+ for subscribers.
Nebraska enters the contest with an unblemished 21-0 record to start the season, marking just the ninth time in program history that the team has achieved this feat. The squad also boasts a 52-match regular-season winning streak dating back to the 2024 season, representing the second-longest regular-season winning streak in program history during the NCAA era, which began in 1981.
This matchup represents the 30th all-time meeting between the two schools. Nebraska holds a commanding 26-3 advantage in the series and enters the arena riding an 18-match winning streak against Michigan.
The Huskers secured the No. 1 spot in the AVCA Coaches Poll released on October 26. This milestone marks the program's 133rd week at the top of the national poll, giving them more weeks at No. 1 than any other program in the country.
Individual players continue to earn weekly accolades for their standout performances on the court. Senior middle blocker Andi Jackson was honored as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, earning the recognition for the third time in her career. Jackson is the third consecutive Husker to receive the award, following teammates Olivia Mauch on October 19 and Manaia Ogbechie on October 12.
Fans unable to watch the video stream can follow the action through the Huskers Radio Network, with commentary from John Baylor and Lauren Cook West. Audio broadcasts will be available on designated volleyball affiliate stations, Huskers.com, and the official Huskers App.
In addition to the collegiate action, local high school volleyball teams across Nebraska have been competing in the NSAA Class B District Playoffs, with recent postseason tournament matches taking place throughout the state.
