Veteran Afghan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi reached a major career milestone on Friday, October 23, by claiming his 300th international wicket during the tri-series final against Zimbabwe in the United Arab Emirates.

Playing at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Nabi entered the match needing only two dismissals to secure the landmark. He delivered a disciplined spell, conceding 25 runs in 10 overs while picking up two wickets.

With this achievement, Nabi became only the second bowler in international cricket history to take 300 wickets for Afghanistan. Star spinner Rashid Khan leads the country's all-time bowling charts, holding a record 477 wickets.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman follows in the national standings with 189 wickets. Nabi accomplished his feat in his 339th international match across 316 bowling innings, maintaining a career bowling average of 30.95.

Nabi has established his success across all three international formats for Afghanistan. His strongest numbers have come in One Day Internationals, where he has accounted for 181 dismissals.

In addition to his ODI success, the experienced player has claimed 111 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals and eight wickets in Test matches for his national side.

The final match in the UAE also featured prominent teammates such as Rashid Khan, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, and Ibrahim Zadran, as Afghanistan continued its competitive international schedule.
