Milwaukee Brewers Set Friday Championship Parade Following First World Series Title
Downtown festivities and a lakefront rally will celebrate the franchise's historic victory over Tampa Bay.
The City of Milwaukee is preparing for a historic celebration on Friday, Oct. 30, as the Milwaukee Brewers host their Parade of Champions following the first World Series title in franchise history. Coming off a decisive Game 5 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night, team and city officials announced that the parade will commence at 10 a.m. Central Time from the downtown intersection of North 4th Street and West Wisconsin Avenue before concluding with a lakefront civic rally.
The scheduled festivities follow the team's planned return flight to Wisconsin on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 29. Traveling on United Airlines Flight 3783, the newly crowned champions were slated to depart Tampa International Airport at 2:15 p.m. Eastern Time and arrive at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport at 4:02 p.m. Central Time. A flight using that exact designation also carried the squad home following their National League Championship Series sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers, where the plane was greeted by fire engine water cannon salutes and welcoming crowds.
Friday's processional will wind through the streets of downtown Milwaukee, offering supporters a free opportunity to line the sidewalks. Following its launch on Wisconsin Avenue, the parade route will direct participants toward Henry Maier Festival Park, also known as the Summerfest grounds. Heavy crowds are expected, reflecting the massive fan turnout that traveled to Tropicana Field during the World Series and packed the Brewers' home stadium for local watch parties.
The subsequent championship rally at Henry Maier Festival Park is scheduled to open its gates at 8 a.m. Admission to the festival grounds is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees will find food and drink vendors, musical performances, exclusive merchandise, and appearances by Brewers alumni. Large video monitors positioned across the park will stream live parade coverage throughout the morning, and the first 50,000 visitors will receive a limited-edition championship rally towel.
While general grounds admission is complimentary, fans seeking entry to the American Family Insurance Amphitheater for official player and staff speeches must secure tickets. Presales for members were scheduled to start at 10 a.m., followed by general public access at 2 p.m. Net proceeds generated from the amphitheater ticket sales will go directly to support the Brewers Community Foundation.
Anticipating widespread transit challenges and municipal impact, Milwaukee Public Schools announced that all schools and district administrative offices will be closed on Friday. District leadership posted a message congratulating the team and clarified that the full shutdown was ordered "due to operations and safety impacts from the Brewers parade and celebration."
Under the district cancellation, all standard before- and after-school childcare programs and classes are suspended, and Milwaukee Recreation activities will not take place. The district confirmed that scheduled high school postseason athletic events remain an exception and will proceed, with specific schedules communicated directly to participating student-athletes and their families.
For community members unable to travel downtown, comprehensive viewing options have been made available across several platforms. Local station CBS 58 is set to begin live coverage at 9 a.m. Central Time. National and digital audiences can watch the events on MLB Network, MLB+, MLB.TV, and Brewers.TV, alongside a complimentary live stream provided on Brewers.com.
