Magda Linette has successfully advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Chennai, India, following a decisive victory over Japan's Moyuka Uchijima. The third-seeded player secured her spot in the next round with a 7-6(5), 6-0 win, marking her first time winning two consecutive matches in a single tournament since June.

The match against Uchijima began as a closely contested battle. Both players traded breaks early in the opening set, after which they maintained their service games, leading to a tie-break. Linette demonstrated composure during the high-pressure points, ultimately winning the tie-break 7-5 to claim the first set after a lengthy struggle.
