Actor Luca Zingaretti is set to return to the screen in a new comedy series titled Il Capo Perfetto, which will premiere on Netflix on December 2, 2026. The six-episode miniseries, produced by Cattleya, explores the life of Giulio Zagni, a successful entrepreneur based in Italy's renowned Motor Valley.

In the series, Zagni is portrayed as a man who prides himself on maintaining absolute control over both his family life and his steering wheel manufacturing business. Known for his ability to solve any problem, he serves as the primary point of reference for his employees and relatives. However, the narrative centers on the chaos that ensues when his supposedly infallible system begins to fail, leading to a series of tragicomic situations.

The show is loosely inspired by the film El Buen Patrón, directed by Fernando León de Aranoa, who also contributed to the series' subject matter. The production received support from the Emilia-Romagna region through the Emilia-Romagna Film Commission, highlighting the local industrial setting that serves as the backdrop for Zagni's professional challenges.

The cast features a wide ensemble, including Francesco Colella, Giovanni Esposito, Alessia Giuliani, Carmine Buschini, Alberto Boubakar Malanchino, Sara Drago, Cristina Cappelli, Sara Mondello, Anna Bisciari, and Cristina Parku. Additionally, the series includes a special appearance by musician Nek, along with guest roles for Filippo Tortu, Leonardo Manera, Raul Cremona, Anna Carol, Dente, and Davide Toffolo.

Behind the scenes, the writing team consists of Davide Lantieri, Michele Pellegrini, Marco Pettenello, Serena Patrignanelli, and Virginia Virilli, with Michele Pellegrini serving as the head writer. Directing duties are split between Roan Johnson, who helmed the first three episodes, and Niccolò Falsetti, who directed the final three.

Beyond this upcoming Netflix project, Zingaretti is also currently involved in other television work. He stars in the Paramount+ series Il Metodo Paraldi, where he portrays a former journalist who investigates complex mysteries. That series is based on novels written by Fabrizio Roncone and focuses on a character navigating a world where appearances are often deceptive.
