Los Angeles Kings Host Buffalo Sabres in Halloween Matinee Matchup

The Los Angeles Kings return home to Crypto.com Arena on Saturday afternoon to face the Buffalo Sabres in a Halloween matinee matchup. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. PT) and marks the second contest of a seven-game homestand for the Kings.

After shaking off a sluggish 0-6 start to the regular season, the Kings have managed to find their footing as the calendar turns toward November, capturing four of their last six games. Meanwhile, the Sabres arrive in Los Angeles seeking to continue their strong offensive push.

Both squads enter Saturday's contest following dramatic, high-scoring wins on Thursday night. The Kings nearly let a comfortable lead slip away against the Ottawa Senators at home, blowing a 5-1 advantage in the third period by conceding four consecutive goals before ultimately securing a victory in overtime.

The Sabres manufactured an even more dramatic comeback during their road trip to Anaheim, overcoming a 3-1 deficit against the Ducks with six unanswered goals. Forward Tage Thompson led the charge by recording a hat trick, helping Buffalo hold on for a narrow 7-6 triumph after Anaheim struck twice in the final two minutes.

Saturday's matchup also shines a spotlight on standout defenseman Brandt Clarke, who has emerged as a key offensive contributor for Los Angeles. Through his first 12 games of the season, Clarke has tallied three goals, six assists, and nine total points, boasting a 14.3% shooting percentage that leads all Kings defenders.

Fans in the local markets can catch the action on television through ABTV in Los Angeles and MSG-B in Buffalo. Broadcast options also include dedicated streaming platforms such as DAZN for regional viewers and ESPN+, depending on location and service availability.

With both teams demonstrating explosive offensive capabilities and a penchant for wild finishes during their previous outings, Saturday's afternoon showdown promises to deliver plenty of excitement for hockey fans on both coasts.
