Lech Poznań narrowly avoided a major upset on Sunday evening, playing to a dramatic 2-2 draw against Zagłębie Lubin at Enea Stadion. Despite controlling much of the match and sitting at the top of the league table, the Polish champions had to rely on a late equalizer in the final moments of regular play to split the points.

The visitors from Lubin executed a precise game plan, capitalizing on counterattacks to stun the league leaders. Zagłębie struck first just before halftime, when Marcel Reguła found the back of the net in stoppage time to give his side a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

Lech Poznań responded quickly after the second half commenced. Patrik Wålemark, who recently earned a call-up to Sweden's national team squad, converted a penalty kick in the 52nd minute to level the score at 1-1. However, Zagłębie reclaimed the lead shortly after through Reguła, who beat goalkeeper Mateusz Lis in a one-on-one situation to notch his second goal of the match.

Facing a deficit, Lech Poznań heavily pressured the opposing defense for the remainder of the contest. The task became slightly easier for the hosts when Zagłębie's Damian Michalski received a red card for fouling Yannick Agnero during a breakaway, reducing the visiting team to ten players for the closing stretch.

With heavy sustained pressure during six minutes of added time, Lech finally broke through in the 94th minute. Michał Gurgul fired a close-range shot into the net to secure the 2-2 draw, preventing what would have been a stunning defeat for the table leaders.

Ahead of the match, local authorities implemented significant traffic restrictions and road closures around Bułgarska Street starting Sunday afternoon. The Poznań Public Transport authority also reinforced bus and tram lines to accommodate the large number of attendees traveling to the stadium.

The fixture also featured community events prior to kickoff, including a dedicated Family Sector at the stadium offering scent workshops and chess tournaments for younger fans. Following the stalemate, Lech Poznań maintains its position at the summit of the domestic standings, while Zagłębie Lubin walks away with a hard-earned point on the road.
