Singer and Saturday-night entertainer Giovanni Zarrella is appearing as a guest coach on the popular television production "The Voice of Germany." The episode, which airs on October 30, 2026, marks the third round of the battle phase for the current season.

Zarrella, who has previously served as an official coach on the program, brings his extensive musical and television experience back to the stage. In his guest capacity, he will observe the duels and provide his perspective throughout the evening, culminating in the selection of the standout performance of the night.

At the conclusion of the broadcast, the guest coach chooses one specific battle to receive the "Battle of the Night" designation. This recognition awards a special trophy to the winning team coach, which can be strategically deployed in the subsequent team fight phase to block challenges from opposing teams.

The ongoing battle phase features remaining contestants paired up by their respective team coaches—Shirin David, Rea Garvey, Nico Santos, and the duo Michi and Smudo. Each pair performs a duet together while simultaneously competing against each other for a limited number of spots in the next round of the competition.

In addition to his appearance on the casting show, Zarrella remains a prominent figure in German television and was recently announced as a guest on the WDR talk program "Kölner Treff," alongside other notable public personalities.

As the current season of "The Voice of Germany" progresses through its battle rounds, audience interest and viewing figures continue to be a focal point for the network following the initial blind auditions phase.
