The Cleveland Browns overcame a sluggish start on Sunday afternoon to claim a 17-14 halftime lead over the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium. Entering Week 7 with a 4-2 record, the Browns found themselves trailing early after a dominant opening push from the 1-5 Titans, but a resilient offensive surge and defensive adjustments allowed Cleveland to turn the tide before the break.

Tennessee seized control immediately on the opening drive when running back Tony Pollard broke away for a 36-yard touchdown run. Pollard struck again later in the first quarter with a 10-yard scoring run, capping off a rapid start that staked the Titans to a 14-0 advantage with 8:35 remaining in the period.

Rather than waiting until the second half or the final quarter—a pattern that has defined several of their games this season—the Browns immediately answered with 17 consecutive points. Running back Quinshon Judkins, returning to action after missing the previous week with an ankle injury, sparked the comeback by scoring on a five-yard rushing touchdown. Judkins added a six-yard score later in the half, tying the game at 14-14 with just 2:17 left on the clock.

Cleveland seized the lead right before halftime when kicker Andre Szmyt connected on a 28-yard field goal as time expired. The offensive resurgence was anchored by quarterback Deshaun Watson, who was sharp in the pocket by completing 17 of 22 passes for 202 yards. Watson managed to avoid being sacked during the first half after absorbing 13 sacks over the previous two games, though he did toss an interception.

Rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion emerged as a primary weapon for Cleveland despite being limited during the week by calf and quad injuries. Concepcion erupted for the first 100-yard game of his career before intermission, hauling in 8 receptions for 129 yards to anchor the aerial attack.

After surrendering explosive plays early, the Browns' defense tightened significantly against Titans quarterback Cam Ward. Ward completed just 7 of 11 passes for 58 yards as Cleveland's secondary and front seven clamped down. Defensive contributions included an interception by Denzel Ward—who entered the matchup listed as questionable with a hand injury—alongside a sack by Adin Huntington.

Overall, the Browns outgained Tennessee 277 to 156 yards in the first half, averaging 7.5 yards per play. However, turnovers including an interception and a lost fumble kept the Titans within striking distance. With a narrow three-point lead heading into the locker room, stopping Tony Pollard's rushing attack remains the primary defensive priority for Cleveland as they look to secure their fifth win of the season.
