Football coach Bill Belichick and his partner Jordon Hudson quietly ended their romantic relationship in late 2025, according to recent reports. Despite the separation, the pair have maintained a close friendship and continue to collaborate on ongoing business ventures.

The 74-year-old University of North Carolina head coach and the 25-year-old former college cheerleader first met on a flight in February 2021. Their romance began in 2022 and became public knowledge in 2024, attracting widespread media attention due to their nearly 50-year age gap. Neither Belichick nor Hudson immediately addressed the separation publicly when news of the breakup emerged.

Even though they separated late last year, the former couple successfully kept their changed relationship status out of the spotlight. They made several high-profile public appearances together throughout 2026, including attending the Kentucky Derby in May and walking off the field side-by-side following North Carolina football games.

Sources close to Hudson confirmed that she has already begun seeing other people. However, both parties remain dedicated to their professional partnership. Hudson has been tied to numerous business entities and assembled a real estate portfolio in Massachusetts valued at approximately $9.1 million during the course of their relationship.

Their romance previously drew public scrutiny regarding Hudson's involvement in Belichick's professional affairs. A notable moment occurred during an April 2025 interview on CBS's "Sunday Morning" when Hudson interrupted a question about how the couple met, telling the interviewer, "We're not talking about this."

Belichick later defended Hudson against criticism regarding her influence on his career and university responsibilities. In a September 2026 interview with The Wall Street Journal, the coach rejected suggestions that she held authority over football operations, explaining that she merely helped coordinate personal appearance requests.

While dealing with this off-the-field development, Belichick remains focused on his coaching duties at North Carolina. The Tar Heels are currently navigating their season following a 4-8 debut campaign under Belichick in 2025, while Hudson continues to attend games and support the program.
