Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala is closing in on a return to action after being sidelined with a thigh injury. Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl provided updates on Monday regarding the recovery timelines for several injured players within the squad.

Musiala, who sustained his thigh injury while on international duty with the German national team, experienced a slower recovery than initially anticipated. Eberl explained that the player missed an optimal preseason due to his condition and noted that the club wanted to ensure he reached full fitness before making a comeback.

According to the club's leadership, Musiala is on track to rejoin team training during the upcoming international break. If his recovery continues smoothly, he could make his competitive return to the pitch once club matches resume following the international window.

The German club has faced mounting injury challenges in their attack, missing several key contributors during a demanding stretch of fixtures. Alongside Musiala, players such as Luis Díaz, Serge Gnabry, and Ismael Saibari have also spent time on the sidelines with various physical setbacks.

Despite missing key personnel, Musiala continues to receive recognition for his elite on-field capabilities. In video game ratings released for EA Sports FC 27, the Bayern playmaker earned an overall rating of 87, highlighted by a category-leading 90 dribbling attribute that showcases his ability to maneuver past defenders in tight spaces.

Bayern Munich is scheduled to face Atlético Madrid in the UEFA Champions League before concluding their pre-international break schedule with a Bundesliga fixture against Mainz on Saturday. The team plans to welcome back their recovering stars as they prepare for the remainder of their domestic and European campaigns.
