Ather Energy Limited announced its financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, marking a significant return to profitability alongside robust revenue growth. The electric vehicle maker reported a consolidated net profit of ₹1.26 crore for the quarter, reflecting a turnaround from a net loss of ₹51.09 crore in the preceding period and a net loss of ₹154.07 crore during the same period in the previous fiscal year.

On a consolidated basis, the company generated ₹1,464.24 crore in revenue from operations for Q2 FY 2026-27. Total consolidated income reached ₹1,526.95 crore when factoring in ₹62.71 crore of other income. This performance highlights an increase compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, when operational revenue stood at ₹898.88 crore and total income was ₹940.67 crore.

Total consolidated expenses for the recently concluded quarter amounted to ₹1,525.69 crore. Key expenditure items included the cost of materials consumed at ₹1,176.57 crore, other expenses at ₹172.04 crore, and employee benefit expenses at ₹120.69 crore. Despite these substantial operational costs, the company achieved basic and diluted earnings per share of ₹0.03 per equity share.

For the first half of the fiscal year ended September 30, 2026, Ather Energy recorded an operational revenue of ₹2,681.16 crore and a total income of ₹2,786.60 crore. Total expenses for the six-month duration stood at ₹2,836.43 crore, resulting in a net loss of ₹49.83 crore. However, this figure represents a narrowing of losses compared to the net loss of ₹332.30 crore recorded in the corresponding half-year of the previous financial year.

Alongside its financial update, Ather Energy reported that consumer demand continues to outpace supply. Pre-orders more than doubled to reach 1.80 lakh units during the second quarter of FY 2026-27, demonstrating a high level of consumer interest in the company's electric scooters.

To support this expanding market demand, Ather Energy plans to invest ₹122 crore to scale up manufacturing capacity at its facilities in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. The company intends to add 75,000 units of annual capacity at its Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu by December 2026 with an investment of up to ₹58 crore. Additionally, it plans to introduce 150,000 units of annual capacity at its under-construction Factory 3.0 in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, by the second quarter of FY 2028, committing up to ₹64 crore toward the project.
