Angus Beith has officially announced his departure from Heart of Midlothian FC after spending more than seven years working behind the scenes in various coaching and analytical capacities. The 30-year-old made the announcement via social media on Monday, November 2, 2026, stating that he is moving on to take up a fresh challenge.

Beith's history with the Scottish Premiership club runs deep. He originally came through the Riccarton youth academy as a promising midfielder, representing Scotland at several youth international levels. However, his playing career was cut short at the age of 23 in April 2019 due to a persistent hip injury, prompting him to transition directly into the club's technical and coaching staff.

Over the course of his seven-year tenure off the pitch, Beith climbed through the ranks of the organization. His roles included serving as an academy coach starting in 2019, a first-team tactical analyst the following year, and the Head of the Balerno School Programme in 2022. More recently, he took on responsibilities with the club's B team and worked closely with the under-19s.

During his time developing the next generation of talent, Beith recently earned his UEFA A Licence from the Scottish Football Association. He was also part of the coaching staff that helped guide the youth setup to a Scottish FA Youth Cup victory at Hampden Park during the spring of the previous season.

Reflecting on his departure in his farewell message, Beith expressed deep appreciation for the environment at Tynecastle. He noted that the organization has been a massive part of his life, providing him with extensive opportunities for personal and professional development while allowing him to build strong relationships with players and staff.

While Beith did not disclose specific details regarding his next destination, his exit marks a notable transition for the Hearts coaching staff. His ability to navigate tactical analysis and youth development leaves behind a strong legacy at the Edinburgh-based club as he prepares for his next chapter in professional football.
